Real World Numbers: LID vs Conventional Development

The stormbasix batch detention system controls a 6” valve and comes in two configurations; an outfall valve and a vault valve. The outfall valve simply sits adjacent to the stormwater impoundment on the backside of a berm or wall. The Vault Valve is designed to be placed into a concrete manhole. These complete prepacked systems makes installation simple and prevents costly mistakes in the field.
Inlet riser Screens have been a mainstay in engineered specifications for stormwater detention basins. On plans, they may meet regulatory requirements, BUT in reality, they often become a maintenance nightmare. Often made of chicken wire and perforated PVC pipe, it isn’t long before they are damaged or broken. Isn’t it time someone manufactured this simple yet effective Stormwater Best Management Practice to last?
The stormbasix Depth Marker is a durable, easy-to-install visual guide designed to help maintenance teams and site managers quickly and clearly assess sediment and water depth in stormwater detention basins. Constructed from a proprietary blend of thermoplastics and marked with bold, easy-to-read numerical indicators (1–5 feet), this marker is both easy to read from a distance and can withstand the harshest conditions and heaviest equipment.
